Design for Humanity 2010 is almost here! Tickets still available.
JUNE 10th 2010, Billabong will host the 4th annual Design For Humanity benefit with a new location set in the heart of the legendary New York Streets Backlot at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
Design For Humanity is Billabong’s charitable division that seeks to raise funds and awareness of worthy causes, all the while celebrating art, music and fashion in the process. 100% of ticket sales will be donated to charity. Billabong is proud to announce the 2010 beneficiary is Invisible Children, an organization dedicated to ending the longest running war in Africa and bring peace to Uganda where the soldiers are children abducted from their homes and forced to fight.
With your ticket purchase to Design for Humanity, you are helping to change lives. Come ready to buy art, buy a t-shirt, buy a grilled cheese sandwich, have a cocktail, or just dance your pants off. Proceeds from the art show sales, screenprinting, food trucks and bikini collaborations will be donated to Invisible Children.
Doors open at 7pm with the art show, food trucks (Green Truck on the Go, Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches, Grilled Cheese Truck, Let's Be Frank hot dogs), hit+run t-shirt screenprinting, beats by Them Jeans and Pase Rock, live installation art by DethKills, and too much to list. You'll want to get there early! Fashion show starts at 9:30pm with DJ Mark Moreno. Kid Sister performance at 10pm. Fischerspooner headlining at 10:45. Classixx DJ dance party closing out the night. *times are approximate and subject to change.
