Go green and help victims of domestic violence
Do you have a drawer full of old wireless phones? Through its exclusive HopeLine
recycling program, Verizon Wireless helps keep no-longer-used cell
phones and batteries out of landfills and turns them into support of
local domestic violence agencies.
Thanks to HopeLine's recycling
efforts, more than 200 tons of electronic waste and batteries have been
kept out of landfills. And since the start of the program in October
2001, Verizon Wireless has distributed over 90,000 phones with more than
300 million minutes of service and awarded more than $7.9 million in
cash grants to domestic violence agencies.
Every phone counts!
