OK, I really have to start this blog off with a confession: I used to get totally annoyed when people talked about “techy” things, especially when my friends would gush over their phones or gadgets like it was a new puppy. I mean, why would I spend money on a fancy phone when I could get new boots instead?? Made no sense. Besides, my flip-phone worked just fine.

But when I left for UF, I decided to get my first smartphone. And then it all became oh-so clear. You know what I’m talking about, right?? It’s like the light came on!!

I still love me some new boots, don’t get me wrong. But now, my DROID phone and my Moto tablet – they are extensions of my body, seriously. My Verizon devices keep me connected to everything that matters, and totally keep my head above water with my classes. I can’t imagine life without them.

So that’s why when Verizon Insider asked me to write for this college blog, I jumped at the chance. I can’t wait to start blogging about all the ways my wireless devices rock my world – from finding cheap eats to looking for a job – and new things I’ll learn too.
