We’re proud to announce our 2012 Black History Month program, “A Day in the Life of a History Maker.” The ambassador for this year’s event is actress Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes Jones in the hit TV series, “Glee.”

As we honor the Black Americans who have changed history, Verizon wants to hear from the up-and-coming history makers. That means YOU!

Write an essay in 500 words or less explaining how YOU plan to make your mark on history and you could win the chance to spend the day with Amber Riley in New York City! Submit your essay today.
